We have been super busy the past few months! This post is about the app called Ibotta and how it can get you cash back, but first I want to give a quick update on the farm.
We’ve had several more additions to the farm. We have 2 more goats and 6 more chickens. We hatched 3 chicks and bought 3. We now have Silkies! They are really cute. I will post more pictures of them soon.
I also got a part-time WAHJ. I wanted to find a way to make some extra income. So far it has been great. I will blog about that soon as well.
So, I wanted to try something new here. I am always trying to find ways to save money so I wanted to share some things that have worked for me.
Today I want to share an app I started using a few years ago. It’s called Ibotta. Ibotta is a free app that pays you cash for everyday purchases.
It is very easy to use. After you download the app and create an account you simply browse the many rebates offered. You select things that you would normally purchase at places like the grocery store or Walmart. They have many other retailers too.
There are many different rebates to choose from. If you are like me, I can never find coupons for things that I normally purchase. Well, with Ibotta you can get rebates on things like milk, bread, or dish soap and this is for any brand. It’s not much, but it definitely adds up!
You then need to complete a task for each rebate. These are super easy, like answer one question, watch a short (30 second) video or simply look at a recipe. Once you complete the task the rebate is unlocked. After you purchase the items Ibotta will verify your purchases and send you cash usually within 24 hours.
There are 2 ways to verify purchases. For most stores you simply scan the bar code at the bottom of the receipt. For some stores you need to link your rewards card and the rebates are automatically verified after you make the purchase.
Super easy huh?
So how do you get your cash?
To get your cash, just link your Ibotta account with either PayPal or Venmo or chose a gift card. This is what I do. About every other month I get an iTunes gift card. This has been great because I no longer spend my money on games for the kids or renting movies. Over the past few months I have gotten about $40 worth of iTunes cards and it only takes a few minutes for the gift card to arrive via email.
So yes, it is worth it. Give it a try!
